At Maclean, we recognize the vital role that our service crew plays in the success of our organization. They are the backbone of our operations. They are highly skilled and trained professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality service to our clients. They work diligently to ensure that the facilities are clean, safe and well-maintained. We acknowledge the dedication of our team members and are proud to have them as a part of our organization. They are an integral part of the Maclean experience and we are committed to providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed.
At the COVID-19 Frontlines
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our cleaning crew played a huge and important role in keeping places like offices, supermarkets, factories and schools clean and safe for everyone. They were our very own frontliners keeping the public safe from the virus and we wanted to make sure we were keeping them safe too.
To keep our employees safe, we provided them with the required safety gear like gloves, masks, shields, and hand sanitiser. We kept up to date with the testing requirements set by KKM and ensured all workers underwent PCR tests accordingly. In addition to this, we registered for PERKESO's Program Saringan Prihatin. The safety of our employees was our utmost priority.
Travelling during the pandemic was tough, especially for our employees who had to go to different jobsites. To minimize our crew's exposure to COVID-19, we implemented strict safety protocols, which included limiting them from non-essential travel such as stopping at places like petrol stations or restaurants when going to work. We also made sure to clean our company vans after each trip to keep them safe. We had a dedicated emergency response vehicle to take any employees who tested positive for the virus to quarantine centres.
We're proud to have worked alongside these heroes during such a difficult time. They had to handle a lot of uncertainties and did a great job keeping people safe from the virus.
Going the Distance: Delivering Essentials to Our Workers
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, access to food and essentials became a challenge for many people. This was especially true for essential workers who were required to be on job sites during the day and couldn't take time off to purchase food and other living essentials. In response to this challenge, we deployed our company vans to get and deliver these living essentials directly to our workers' houses.
This effort helped to ensure that our workers were able to access the supplies they needed to take care of themselves and they were visibily relieved and comforted during such challenging times.
Together Through Times of Need
When the devastating floods hit our community in December 2021, it was a challenging time for everyone, and our team was not spared from the impact.
Our colleagues and their families were among those who suffered the most. Many of them had to make difficult choices, such as putting their children's needs first, leaving themselves with little to nothing. As a team, we knew we had to do something to help our colleagues and their families. While our Disaster Relief Fund provided the much-needed financial aid to 28 of our team members affected by the floods, we did not stop there. Our team members came together and worked tirelessly to start the "Misi Bantuan Kemanusiaan" project, which aimed to provide food, clothing, and other essentials to those affected by the floods. We all chipped in, contributing resources and supplies to clean up and restore our crew's homes that were badly affected by the floods.
Coming together and helping those affected was a genuine testament to the strength and kindness of our team. We are proud of what we achieved during tough times and will always stand together in times of need.
